Overview

Assists in establishing and maintaining organizational functions.  Coordinates all Production Support services to ensure timely and accurate data entry in all reporting functions.  Prepares and distributes reports and meeting minutes.  Maintains computerized statistical records on product produced and rejected.  Provides telephone coverage for manufacturing personnel.  Performs various administrative and clerical support functions for manufacturing and Human Resources. May also act as receptionist.

Responsibilities

Maintains computerized manufacturing records; tracks production/rejection statistics.

 

Assists in tracking product inventory for accurate accounting and analyzes variances for improved accuracy.

 

Coordinates data entry processing for manufacturing functions.

 

Provides administrative and clerical support to all Manufacturing personnel, including      phones, ordering supplies, word processing, employee communications, copying, filing, etc.

 

Provides information and assists employees with questions/concerns.

 

At the direction of the Cost Accountant, reviews budgets monthly with Plant Manager and Supervisors and documents monthly history for annual budget preparation.

 

Maintains operation of office equipment by following operator procedures and calling for repairs and supplies as needed.

 

Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location.

 

Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

 

Qualifications

Education

High school graduate/GED required. Some college or business school coursework preferred.

 

Experience

Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing office environment.

 

Skills/Abilities

Proficiency with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, etc., accurate data entry and effective oral and written communication skills required. Must be able to handle multiple priorities and frequent interruptions.

 

Other

Knowledge of manufacturing policies and procedures preferred. Standard manufacturing office environment, subject to high noise levels, dust, some variation in temperature.
