Overview

Achieve Ply Gem corporate and US Window group business objectives by developing, implementing and managing internal and external sales and marketing programs that create demand, drive incremental sales, strengthen relationships and increase customer engagement and loyalty within respective channels and brands. 

Responsibilities

  1. Key building blocks for role
    1. Strong understanding of retail channel dynamics including the competitive landscape, customer journey, audience profiles & segmentation and the organizational structure of the key big box players
    2. Understanding of integrated retail marketing strategies and tactics including merchandising, packaging, website, digital, social, training, advertising and promotions.
    3. Build relationships with key customers to drive alignment, demand and preference for Ply Gem products/brands through annual and ongoing planning meetings.
  2.  Work closely with Director, Channel Marketing, Product Managers and Sales leadership to develop and execute a retail strategic plan identifying initiatives that achieve strategic objectives and deliver value to customers and key audiences in the following areas.
    1. Content strategy to attract and engage
    2. Customer engagement programs to increase customer share of wallet
    3. Trade show content and execution
    4. Local customer event marketing
    5. Product promotions
    6. Line reviews and customer presentations
  3.  Collaborate with Director, Channel Marketing, Retail Sales Team and Corporate Marketing Team on the following to attract, engage, convert and support channel customers.
    1. Branding architecture, identity, creative and use standards
    2. Integrated retail solutions including merchandising, packaging, literature, samples, displays, website and digital content
    3. Advertising, digital, Social, SEO and public relations requirements and execution
  4.  Manage website properties to drive SEO to build traffic, content to create engagement and calls-to-action to drive conversion. Analyze frequently to understand patterns and adjust accordingly.
  5.  Maintain key customer eCommerce databases.
  6.  In collaboration with Corporate Marketing, develop and manage customer and prospect database of all end users including distributors, contractors, builders and architects within channel.  Develop tools to understand, segment, and profile customers to ensure targeted and effective marketing strategy and execution.
  7.  In collaboration with Corporate Marketing, develop and manage closed loop lead process including fulfillment, sales engagement, database management, reporting and analysis.
  8.  In collaboration with the Training Team and Retail Sales Team, develop and manage customer training and continuing education programs.
  9.  Develop annual budget, monthly forecast and process invoices for responsible channel and brands.
  10.  Ensure proper metrics are available to measure ROI and assess goal attainment.
  11.  Provide daily marketing support and act as a resource for sales team and customer base. 
  12.  Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  13.  Perform other duties as assigned and contribute to the overall Marketing team effectiveness and accomplishments.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration.  An advanced degree or MBA is preferred

 

Experience

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in marketing with a focus on retail channel management preferred
  • Experience with business development Marketing: Interest, Conversion, Engagement, Loyalty
  • Experience managing a portfolio of brands to manage channel conflict and maximize return
  • Experience with digital marketing and marketing automation including; Email, Web, Etc.
  • Experience with traditional marketing and brand building practices
  • Building products distribution channel experience a plus
  • Sales experience a plus
