Responsible for the development and implementation of a new manufacturing process for the production of composite materials. Facilitates the manufacture of all products through continuous process improvement. Implements new processes to accommodate new part introduction or increased sales. Reduces material waste, improves quality, increases output and decreases downtime to improve profitability. Ensures compliance with all local, State and Federal regulations associated with OSHA and environmental regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Technology/Engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience working with AutoCAD or Inventor preferred.
Five or more years experience in process/manufacturing engineering. Specific technical knowledge of composite materials manufacturing processes is required; familiarity with polymer extrusion, polymer concrete, cementitious material, highly filled polyurethane and compression molding is desired.
Safety and quality minded. Organized and detail oriented. Self-motivated and team oriented. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts. Knowledge of MS Office applications required.
