The Production Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling, printing, copying, sorting, and distributing daily production orders.  This position will play a vital role in keeping the manufacturing of our products running successfully and on-time.


This position is responsible for developing, leading and executing in the following areas:


  • Responsible for personal safety as well as involvement in all EHS efforts at this facility.  This includes complying with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies or regulations set forth by Simonton and/or various governmental agencies.
  • Prints and distributes production orders using WSOE, Product Reports, Optimate and Linealmate.
  • Works with IT and Plant/Production Manager concerning changes to the order process.
  • Assists Plant/Production Manager and Line Supervisors with administrative questions/task.
  • Maintains copiers for efficient operation.
  • Daily ordering of screens, tempered glass, specialty glass, and outsourced painted product. 
  • Track and record daily production records.
  • Provide administrative support for the Production Manager.
  • Provide administrative support for the Supervisors.
  • Work the production floor when and if needed.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly Optimate reporting for glass yield purposes.
  • Run all required daily, weekly and monthly reports.  Including, but not limited to, screens, remakes, paint, and specialty glass.
  • Attend required training.
  • Complete required reports in a timely manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Knowledge of production floor, working relationship with supervisors, computer and keyboarding skills, problem solving skills, ability to do manual labor, exemplary attitude, organizational skills, and must be a self-motivator.


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in clerical/administrative position.
  • Two to three years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and a familiarity with window systems or other building products.
