Maintain inventory by identifying manufacturing needs, identifying suppliers, preparing purchase orders and arranging for delivery of items for assigned items. Maintain information systems and historical references. Prepare information for bid requests.
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of one to three years purchasing experience required.
Basic computer skills required, experience with inventory control systems or AS/400 experience preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills needed for dealing effectively with suppliers required.
