The job of Technical Services Supervisor is done for the purpose/s of organizing and supervising the company’s Technical Service Specialists operation and activities; implementing and overseeing programs and services in compliance with mandated guidelines and company goals; and ensuring that objectives are achieved within budget.
Oversees workload of Technical Service Specialist team for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of the work force and meeting operational, procedural and guideline requirements.
Composes a wide variety of materials (e.g. reports, memos, letters, procedures, manuals, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
Facilitates meetings (e.g. training of equipment, supplies, proper use of product, repairs, installation, etc.) for the purpose of identifying appropriate actions, developing recommendations, supporting other staff, and serving as a working Technical Specialist representative.
Provides direction to help maintain equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
Provide guidance as needed to bring resolution to complex diagnostic and site visit claims to Specialist and internal departments
Review and approve expenses reports and manage cost center budget for Technical Specialists team
Oversee and manage Sub Contractor base (when applicable) regarding recruiting, setup, activity and performance within described geographical region
Support onboarding and set up of new customers and large builders in regard to product installation and service to help maximize success and customer relations. This function may vary by business unit.
Organize, facilitate, assist and oversee the repairs on large projects and escalated services, when applicable.
Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
Travel as needed to support department.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
Must be able to perform multiple, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent computer software applications including word and excel; planning and managing projects; and developing effective working relationships, hands on mechanical skills to perform all necessary repairs on windows and doors or siding and accessories as applicable per business unit, lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, year round outdoor work as needed.
Extensive travel as needed via car or air; must have and maintain clean driving record.
