  • Overview

    Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Social Media and Content Specialist is responsible for successfully executing the strategy for the company’s social media and for measuring the effectiveness of the strategy. This position will work to share the message of the Ply Gem mission through compelling storytelling across various mediums, including email, website, blog, and all social media channels. The Social Media and Content Specialist must leverage past experience and industry trends, as well as develop relationships across the organization to identify stories, and deliver relevant, innovative and consistent messaging to our audience through a wide variety of channels. This position will collaborate with creative, PR, and business unit teams to develop content and campaign plans in support of Ply Gem’s strategy. 


    1. Write and manage blog content and social media posts that tell the Ply Gem story and drive traffic and invite engagement with our various platforms.
    2.  Use digital content expertise to leverage messaging in email, website and other online mediums.
    3.  Work cross-functionally with creative services and technology teams to use video and other mediums to tell stories, as well as develop and execute contests and other campaigns that drive engagement.
    4.  Partner closely with Digital Marketing Manager and business unit managers to identify opportunities to share content to drive additional business objectives.
    5.  Monitor performance of social media, web content, and campaigns and develop periodic performance reports (Google Analytics, platform insights and various social listening tools).
    6.  Perform other duties as assigned.




    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Business 




    • Minimum of five years’ experience developing and delivering compelling content in a fast-paced environment. 
    • Minimum of five years hands-on experience in social marketing campaigns.




    • A track record of increasing engagement/followers
    • Web analytics/social listening knowledge and experience in pulling reporting, measuring campaign performance and analyzing metrics to support overall social strategy. 
    • Experience utilizing multiple social platforms to build awareness, engage new and existing customers and increase conversions via website
    • Excellent communication, writing, project management, analysis, presentation, cross-functional collaboration and relationship building skills
    • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous tasks with agile and quick attention to the most important, and resourcefulness of problem solving
    • Demonstrated passion for the power of content social media marketing, with a keen eye toward emerging technology and innovation
