  • Overview

    Leads the analysis of the company’s financial results and the preparation and consolidation of forecasts, budgets and long-range plans.  In addition, this individual may be responsible for assisting with the company’s investor relations for Ply Gem.  Supplies senior management with performance trend information and identifies opportunities for improvement.


    1. Develop and implement the management reporting of actual results versus budget.
    2. Direct month-end close analysis and weekly/monthly forecast process including liquidity in conjunction with the ABL.
    3. Analyze business unit and corporate actual results and prepare and assess forecasts, budgets and long-range plans.
    4. Develop ways to improve performance and efficiency and lower costs through process improvements.
    5. Direct budget process and consolidate budgets for all Ply Gem companies.
    6. Develop and maintain integrated consolidated financial model and assist with any related financings or offerings.
    7. Generate analysis to explain current trends and variances in financial reports.
    8. Manage the development of short and long term financial strategic plans.  This individual will be responsible for coordinating the strategic planning process and the development of assumptions utilized in the strategic planning and budgetary process. 
    9. Responsible for preparing the consolidated President’s report for review by the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors on a monthly basis.
    10. Develop presentations that effectively communicate and summarize an analysis to facilitate decision-making for senior management.
    11. Responsible for assisting with investor relations activity for Ply Gem.  This includes responding to emails and voicemails from various equity investors and coordinating with outside consultants in this area.      
    12. Preparation of quarterly SEC call back up information and investor slide presentations. 
    13. Responsible for developing and monitoring the health and dental expenses by employee and by business unit.  This will include coordinating with human resources to ensure the accuracy of this information.
    14. Coordinate with the PMO on the forecast and actual results associated with any cost savings initiatives and monitor the impact of these initiatives within Ply Gem’s forecast and results.
    15. Performs other duties as assigned



    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required.



    Eight to ten years of financial and accounting experience required.  MBA or CPA preferred.  Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis required. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.



    Strong oral and written communication skills required.  Self-motivation and ability to relate and work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.  Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Proven track record of superior financial and statistical analysis, including the use of reporting tools. Skills presenting analyses to executives and/or senior management.  Unquestionable integrity and ability to work with confidential information is required.
