  • Overview

    Due to recent acquisitions and continued business growth, we’re adding to our Finance team!

     

    Manage the accounting functions for the U.S. Windows Group including monthly financial reporting activities, accounting period close, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.  Additionally, assists the Division Controller in development of the monthly forecast and annual budget.

    Responsibilities

    1. Coordinate the monthly financial close activities.  This includes reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, recording journal entries as needed, and ensuring all month-end activities are recorded in an accurate and timely manner each month.   
    2. Responsible for financial reporting including review of financial statements, financial reporting packages, chart of accounts maintenance, and account mappings.
    3. Develops on a monthly basis, the detailed financial statement forecast including the statement of cash flows. 
    4. Assist the Division Controller in the annual budget cycle by developing the balance sheet and cash flow statements required for the Ply Gem budget package.
    5. Assists in the preparation and development of SG&A expense budgets. 
    6. Maintains budgeted levels through appropriate meetings with the Sales/Marketing/IS/Finance managers. 
    7. Prepares monthly variance analysis of SG&A results to forecast and budget.
    8. Record and reconcile all intercompany transactions with corporate and other U.S. Windows entities.
    9. Responsible for maintaining lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842.
    10. As applicable, oversee sales tax reporting and coordinates sales tax audits and researches specific issues requiring resolution.
    11. Manage the internal and external audits that are required on a quarterly and annual basis.
    12. Responsible for the U.S. Window Group Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.  This responsibility includes maintaining the business narratives, and working very closely with internal and external auditors to ensure the business is incompliance with SOX requirements.
    13. Financial analysis as required. 
    14. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education

    BS in Accounting.  CPA, CMA, MBA preferred.

     

    Experience

    Five to eight years of progressive financial accounting experience working with all aspects of financial accounting and cash flow management.  Three years prior supervisory or leadership experience required.

     

    Skills/Abilities

    Effective verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with management of both the U.S Windows Group and Ply Gem.  Proficient in Microsoft Word and possess advanced level Microsoft Excel skills.

     

    Other

    Solid financial accounting principles and working knowledge of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
