  • Overview

    Due to recent acquisitions and continued business growth, we’re adding to our Finance team!

     

    The operations accountant is accountable for the ongoing analysis of warranty trends and quality issues driving costs, supporting Quality engineers in identifying savings in warranty costs, financial analysis, identifying opportunities for cost reduction in Field Service costs, assist with model development and project tracking, tracing costs back to underlying activities and assist in corporate month and year end reporting and budgeting.

    Responsibilities

    Data Collection & Analysis

    1. Support Quality and Customer Service initiatives
    2. Support Field Service in monitoring cost drivers
    3. Drive projects to create better visibility within the customer service organization
    4. Big data analysis and database maintenance with other operations finance team members
    5. Warranty accrual calculations with actuarial firm
    6. Other analysis as required

    Project Reporting

    1. Assist plant leadership in after sale cost drivers
    2. Support Quality engineers and Customer Service leadership with savings forecasting and project tracking
    3. Act as Finance liaison on business unit performance to Finance Leadership
    4. Support Quality and Field Service with Synergy tracking and reporting

    Financial Analysis

    1. Facilitates the monthly closing process
    2. Assist in project reporting bridging variances
    3. Assist Quality with Month end reporting
    4. Assist in project support
    5. Assist assigned departments develop and maintain annual budget and forecast
    6. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP requirements are met in all reporting functions performed

    This position will require light travel and perform other duties as assigned on an ad hoc/permanent basis and provide support for plant controllers during vacation and other times as needed.

    Qualifications

    Education

    Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

     

    Experience

    Preferred two years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

    Preferred Six Sigma Green belt

    Extensive use of excel and data manipulation desired
