  • Overview

    The Maintenance Manager directs and coordinates the design, planning, construction, maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery and buildings throughout the facility.  Helps to meet customer requirements in relation to cost, quality, safety, production and delivery by performing the following duties, whether through subordinate supervisors, facility engineers, continuous improvement staff, maintenance techs, janitorial, and buildings and grounds personnel.


    This position is responsible for developing, leading and executing in the following areas:


    • Visually inspects production facilities and evaluates maximum utilization of available space and coordinates Facility layout revisions
    • Manages the facilities HVAC systems, lighting and other operational factors
    • Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and contacts for construction and acquisitions
    • Performs audits to support facility planning
    • Forecasts operating cost of engineering department and directs preparation of the individual facilities Capital budget requests
    • Develops forward thinking plans, conceptual designs and capital outlay requirements as well as documentation for the facilities
    • Formulates and coordinates program specifications, requirements for proposals and contacts and associated documents
    • Acts as a liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agencies
    • Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications
    • Resolves problems using solutions that involve LEAN (continuous improvement) business systems and techniques, new technology and 5S principles, SPC.
    • Manages the preventive maintenance program for the facility.
    • Manages all projects and staff associated with the following departments: Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, Janitorial, and Buildings and Grounds.
    • Routine interaction on the production floor for; training, project completion, associate engagement.


    • BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Manufacturing) or Industrial Technology
    • 7+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing environment is required
    • Experience in a management or leadership role is desired
